Welcome to PC Home & Garden. My name is Paul Cobb I have been lucky enough to work with Age UK for 9 years helping people from all backgrounds and needs. I am fortunate to have had successful careers in Civil Engineering and Construction as a Surveyor, I am a certified Welder Fabricator and have many years’ experience as a Police Officer.
I am based in the Abbey Wood SE London and cover all South and SE London including NW Kent, and occasionally covering lower Essex.
I provide an all-year round services for your home and garden and you will find me to be friendly, reliable and trustworthy.I urge you to read my reviews.
I can help with all types of home maintenance including decorating, tiling, carpentry, gardening, metal work alterations and much more - just give me a call and I will be happy to provide advice and an estimate for whatever work you require. Fully insured service provided.

Jackie02/10/2024Paul did some kitchen floor repair work for my elderly mother very recently. I was very pleased with the work and especially when he was able to remove the broken washing machine for me and was able to move it up the driveway! I'd booked him to clean and paint the window woodwork of a bay that I'd foolishly covered with double-sided tape (don't ask), and to rectify the peeling wall paint, as well as to fix my vintage wardrobe door. He works incredibly carefully and cleanly, and uses the best equipment and paint. The result is simply gorgeous, and I wish I could post a pic. I will definitely call on Paul for any other work I need doing, and for sure if I decide I can afford a new kitchen, which he can fit. He's well worth the money and the time. Highly recommended.Angela01/07/2020As a result of an aggravated burglary which occurred at my 93 yr old mother’s house while she was home alone, we needed a person who could not only carry out the repairs but also have the necessary skills to put my mother as ease, involve her without overwhelming her and fully understand her feelings of vulnerability.
We were so lucky to find Paul on this site, with his experience as a former police officer he intuitively knew and understood how to treat my mother. Indeed, at his suggestion Paul met with Mum to ensure she felt comfortable with him before proceeding further.
Because of the nature and urgency of the work Paul slotted the work into his already busy schedule for which I am extremely indebted.
Paul fitted a new door and iron work, locks, etc and fashioned a new door frame where the old one was out of alignment. He fitted a new pane of glass and security bars over the window. My mother and I were fully consulted at every stage to decide on the options available to secure the property.
Paul’s standard of work is meticulous and professional with excellent results. He was punctual, friendly, and worked extremely hard. He took great care not to create trip hazards whilst working and made sure all dirt/dust was thoroughly cleaned up on completion.
It is testament to Paul that, despite the experience she had gone through, Mum felt totally at ease with him and was impressed enough with his work that she asked him to a do few other small jobs while he was there, all of which took time out of his day, but Paul was decent enough to help with this too.
I can't praise Paul highly enough and would recommend him to anyone needing his services. I will be asking him to do more work for me in due course. Many thanks Paul.
Ashleigh11/06/2020Paul has spent a week refurbishing my flower shop, we have alot of stock that needed to be moved around in order for him to work in different areas. He helped do this and worked in a very professional way and was extremely careful to make sure he observed social distancing. His advice on the suitable material to be used was great and he sourced and collected everything that was required. The finish was of a high quality and would highly recommend him. He identified potential issues and described how they would be overcome. We live in a sheltered housing scheme and Paul carried out the work with the minimum of disruption to us and our neighbours. He was punctual, efficient and highly professional. He went the extra mile to ensure that everything he did was to the highest standard. He repaired 1 office chair that I had assembled myself but had doubts as to its safety. He also put together a flat pack Ikea kitchen table and some chairs to go with it. He carried out work for a lady in the Charlton area who is unable to do a review. I have been asked to conduct it on her behalf. I contacted Paul and he was very efficient and understanding in that he needed to liaise with me at Trading Standards rather than directly with the lady. He attended to assess the work needed and promptly supplied a quote. A start date was agreed and he arrived on time. The work was carried out efficiently with minimal disruption. Paul is very pleasant, tidy and hard working. I would certainly recommend him to anyone who needed gardening work.

Jo19/07/2018I contacted Paul on the off-chance, as I had a couple of fence panels that were warped and needed to be straightened. Both straightened very quickly, efficiently and saving me money in the long run (as I was going to buy two new fence panels). Now I don't need to! He also advised and cut back an overgrown tree for me. Allowing more light into my little garden.
